Talent Quest Volunteer Examples
There are many different factors that shape the nature of a Talent Quest volunteer’s experience. These include the changing needs of the Talent Quest schools and organizations, time of year, and volunteer’s personality and availability. It is the responsibility of each volunteer to establish the parameters of their involvement depending on their unique situations.
Examples of possible Talent Quest volunteer involvement:
- Mentor a student or students in 9-12th grade
- Provide support as requested at pre-planned events such as college fairs, financial aid nights, parent information sessions
- Coordinate a visit with the assigned Brown Admission Officer
- Provide language translation for students and families
- Assist with college application completion
- Public speaking opportunities:
- Your personal college experience at Brown
- Professional work and necessary educational preparation
- Personal approach to the college selection process
