Staff Bios



Director

Jill Caskey

After graduating from Brown in 1985, Jill Caskey worked for four years as an admission officer in the Brown Admission Office. In 1989, Jill moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to become Director of College Counseling at The Paideia School.

After seven years as college counselor at Paideia, Jill returned to Brown and her position as Associate Director of Admission. In 1999, Jill left the admission office to become Director of the Annual Fund at the Wheeler School in Providence and to work independently with families on the college admission process.

In 2002 Jill returned again to Brown to her current position as director of the Alumni College Advising Program. Her husband, Bill Caskey '85, also a college counselor, ran ACAP from 1996 to 2002.


Associate Counselor

Carol Cohen

Carol graduated from Brown in 1983 with an AB in American Civilization, and in 1985 returned to work at the Brown Admission Office.  In 1989 she accepted an appointment as an Assistant Dean of the College, and for the succeeding sixteen years served as an assistant and then associate academic dean, providing academic advising and curricular programming for Brown undergraduates.

In the fall of 2005 she joined Jill Caskey as a counselor in the Alumni College Advising Program.


Program Coordinator

Kat Schott

Kat is a 1989 graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Kat joined Brown in 2006—formerly employed at Manisses Communications Group publishing company in Providence—using her years of experience in production and communications to coordinate schedules, paperwork, and database information, in an effort to better prepare families for our counseling services. Kat may be the first person to answer your call when you contact us!
