On December 5, 1968, African American students at Brown and Pembroke colleges left campus to protest what they saw as a lack of University support for black students. Alumni who participated in the five-day demonstration and alumni parents of current students reflected on their Brown experience during the Civil Rights Movement and how far we’ve come.
