When Europeans arrived in eastern North America they noted links between the native people who lived in the eastern woodland and birds. Stacy Palmer ’82, founder and editor of The Chronicle of Philanthropy, will moderate this discussion with Kathryn Fuller ’68, P’06 as she reflects on her career in public service. Ms. Fuller, who, after 15 years, stepped down in June 2005 as president of the World Wildlife Fund, is now chairman of the Ford Foundation and a Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Ms. Fuller will discuss the stepping stones and catalysts within her career, her views on the future of nonprofit activism and public service, and her outlook on the state of the environmental movement. Monthly Book Club: “The Bone People” by Keri Hulme
