Areas of Interest: Renewal of American democracy, education, civic
engagement in international and public policy.
Susan Graseck is the founding
director of the Choices for the 21st Century Education Program, the outreach
component of the Watson Institute’s programmatic structure.
For the past 16 years, she has overseen the development of this program,
which now reaches out to thousands of teachers and secondary-level students
throughout
the country through its curriculum, professional development, Capitol Forum
and internship programs.
Before coming to the Watson Institute, Ms. Graseck was the executive
director of the Topsfield Foundation and co-director of Options:
A University Outreach
Program on International Issues. She is a founding member of the board
of ACCESS: A Security Information Service in Washington, D.C.,
and a member of the Social
Science Education Consortium.
She holds a M.Ed. from Lesley College.
