The Brown Book Award
The Brown Book Award is awarded annually to the secondary school student who in the eyes of the administration "best combines academic excellence with clarity in written and spoken expression: Language is the highest expression of our humanity; it defines what we are and what we aspire to be. Those who use words effectively will be the leaders in their generation. In them we invest our hope; to them we accord our respect. With this award we salute their potential."
2009 marks the fourth year of our book award program and to date 17 schools have participated including: Canadian International School; Hong Kong International School; Chinese International School; Maryknoll Convent School; Marymount Secondary School; St. Paul's Co-educational College; St. Paul's Convent School; La Salle; Diocesan Girls School; Diocesan Boys School; Island School; South Island School; West Island School; German Swiss International School; Yew Chung; United World College; International Christian School.
