Since its reawakening in 2004, the Brown Club of Greater Baltimore (BCGB) has grown slowly but surely, and its current enthusiasts welcome interested alums of all classes to get involved. We've listed below some ways to become more involved with the Club and to ensure that you receive all our communications:
- Make sure that Brown has your correct mail address and e-mail address by visiting alumni.brown.edu.
- Get your e-mail address on our local Yahoo listserv (brown_alumni@yahoogroups.com). We will only use this address to communicate about local Brown alumni events and actively monitor it to prevent spam. Some examples of recent communications sent via the local listserv are local Brown team sports events, book club meetings (which meet regularly throughout the year) and community service projects undertaken by the Club. This past year, BCGB worked with high school seniors on their college essays.
- Get involved in the future direction of the Club and its activities. The BCGB Steering Committee, comprising club officers and other interested alums, meets monthly on a weekday evening at either a local restaurant or – on occasion – a member's home. The next Steering Committee meeting is scheduled for Wedesday October 17 at 7 PM at the Mount Washington Tavern.
- Participate and enjoy the events offered by the club. See the EVENTS page of our site for upcoming activities.
- If you need more information, contact any of the club officers listed below or send an email to brownclub_baltimore@yahoo.com:
Co-Presidents: Navroz Gandhi, '96, and Jim Damian, '96
Vice President: Leslie Gottert, '71
Co-Secretaries: Jock McClees, '76, and Matt Salm, '04
Treasurer: Linda Miller, '72
Young Alumni Coordinator George Matthews, '05
We look forward to your participation and seeing you at a future event!
