35th Class Reunion: May 22-24, 2009
What a wonderful reunion it was! There were 134 alums gathered in Providence May 22-24 to celebrate our 35th reunion, and we brought along 87 guests with us. Check out additional pictures in the reunion and photo gallery tabs that classmates are sharing from the weekend in Providence. From the campus dance overflowing with upwards of 14,000 guests to the extraordinary commencement procession down College Hill, it was truly memorable. Brown has never looked better, and the Class of 1974 was as enthusiastic as ever. We look forward to seeing those of you who missed this year at a class function in the future.
Now we are coming down to the wire for meeting the challenge we set for ourselves to raise the Class of 1974 35th Reunion Gift. So far we have raised $826,099, with 44% participation. The class of 1974 needs just 48 more gifts to reach the 50% participation goal. For those who have already made a contribution, thank you! If you can handle any additional gift, there is a Twice as Nice challenge that will match 1:1 any second contribution (up to $500,000 or June 30, whichever comes first), assuming the first contribution was made before May 21. Even a modest extra amount will be doubled. If you have not yet made a contribution, think about it seriously so we can get to half of our class members participating. The deadline is June 30, so take care of this now by using the attached gift link www.gifts.brown.edu
